Black Pound Day
Black Pound Day (BPD) is an economic movement focused on empowering Black businesses and entrepreneurs. We serve the Black business community and since our momentous launch in 2020, we have evolved into a start-up business that bridges fintech, cultural consumerism and the business community. As the biggest Black-led economic movement in the UK, BPD has disrupted spending habits to recreate a regular spending pattern centred on supporting Black businesses, every first Saturday of the month. We have enabled all communities to easily make a conscious choice to spend Black. Our movement shows how Black celebration and allyship can stand side-by-side for equity and a unified cause.

Chineke!
The Chineke! Foundation was created in 2015 to provide career opportunities to established and up-and-coming Black, Asian and ethnically diverse classical musicians in the UK and Europe. Chineke!’s motto is: ‘Championing change and celebrating diversity in classical music’. The organisation aims to be a catalyst for change, realising existing diversity targets within the industry by increasing the representation of Black, Asian and ethnically diverse musicians in British and European orchestras. Chineke! - became the first-ever recipient of the Royal Philharmonic Society Gamechanger Award. The Foundation’s flagship ensemble, the Chineke! Orchestra, comprises exceptional musicians from across the continent brought together multiple times per year. As Europe’s first majority-Black, Asian and ethnically diverse orchestra, the Chineke! Orchestra performs a mixture of standard orchestral repertoire along with the works of Black, Asian and ethnically diverse composers both past and present.
